That season in particular, Ronaldo was unplayable! Every goal could fit into a compilation of ‘great goals’. I’d argue it was his finest individual domestic season during his career, such was his impact. Indeed, he still holds the ‘international advantage’ over Messi.

Great article! Ronaldo was the greatest player to grace our planet before being robbed of his genius. He was only half the player (or 1 and 1/2 players in terms of weight)when returning from injury but still managed to win world cups and the golden boot with Brazil, and the league with Real. More importantly he did it at both club and international level which still eludes the marvellous Mr Messi.

Totally agree with the team apart from one change, I would put Sami Hyypia in for Yates! As much as Yates was a hard man and would do a great job I still rate Sami as one of the best centre backs LFC as ever had with an extra bonus that he cost next to nothing! :-> YNWA
