Sony produced a good display in parts of the first half and a dour performance in the second, but overall just done enough to hold on to a 2-1 victory

04th Apr '09: Champions!!!
A very comfortable 2-0 win saw Sony finally crowned league champions with 3 games to spare. It is the first title for the club that was formed nearly 8 years ago. What a fantastic season and performance for everyone in the squad - roll on the presentation night!

02nd Apr '09: 1st draw of season
A win here would have all but clinched the league title for Sony with games to spare - that looked on course when a quick 2-0 lead was secured. However, Sony's bogeyteam hit back and levelled the game with just 10 minutes to go. It's 1point gained, but 3 are still needed to be crowned champions.

28th Mar '09: Another 3 points
After a few weeks off Sony laboured to a 3-2 win. In truth, the score could and should have been higher. Showcasing their fantastic new kit, Sony at least got 3 points closer to the league title.

07th Mar '09: Penalty defeat.
Poor finishing cost Sony & led to being knocked out the cup on penalties. But for a 10 minute spell at the start of the game, Sony dominated a game that should have been put to bed a long time before the opposition hit 2goals in 5mins near the end of the game. A last minute equaliser sent the game into extra time were once again, Sony missed chances before losing 7-8 on pens.

28th Feb '09:
League title a step closer
Sony took another 3 points in the league in an easy 4-0 victory. Most notable on the scoresheet was Jamie Davies, notching his first goal for the club.

21st Feb '09: Back to winning ways
A very comfortable 5-0 league win saw Sony remain on course to bring home the league title for the first time. A very confused and fussy referee did either team no favours, especially the opposition as they were reduced to 10men midway through the 2nd half.

14th Feb '09: First defeat since October
Sony once again came up against higher division opposition in the cup but this time were unable to replicate the previous round heroics, falling to a narrow 1-2 defeat in a tight, tough battle. The 1st defeat in 3months, Sony will now look to get back to further extending their lead at the top the league, were they havent tasted defeat since September.

7th Feb '09: Winning ugly
It wasn't pretty but Sony produced a gritty, battling performance against their nearest league rivals, winning 2-1. This now leaves the team 7 points clear with 2 games in hand. Superb strikes from Mulhaney & Lazer with a Man of Match performance from Davies secured the win.

31st Jan '09: League win again
A very comfortable performance saw Sony notch up 7 goals and keep a clean sheet, whilst not really gettin out of 3rd gear against one of the leagues bottom sides. Goals from Draper (3), Walsh (2), Dougherty & a debatable scrambled effort which Evs is claiming, were complemented by a Man of Match performance from Muirhead.

17 th Jan '09: Knocked a top Prem team out of the cup!
After over 6 weeks without a match Sony's first game back was a tough ask, in the cup against top Prem team Greenfields. However, a battling display & some great individual perfomances saw Sony deservedly go through on penalties. In thruth Sony should have gone through in normal time after taking and holding onto a 3-1 lead only to concede an equaliser in injury time (normal time). It stayed goal-less in extra-time and although Sony had 2 goals ruled out for dubius offside decisions, they previaled 4-3 on penalties
.

29th Nov '08: Convincing win.
A great performance all over the pitch secured Sony the points in a powerful 5-1 victory that could have been many more. Goals from 2 midfielders, Areabi & Docker (2), and 2 defenders, Rowland & Muirhead show that the team are scoring from all over the pitch. M.O.M award for Dougherty.

22nd Nov '08: No clean sheet but victory.

15th Nov '08:
Another league win.
It was a return to league football for Sony and a return to the top of the league, winning 3-0 against another possible contender. Sony were never in any trouble, the goals once again provided by Draper 2 & Docker and the defence keeping another clean sheet. Areabi with this weeks M.O.M award.

1st Nov '08: Back to winning ways.
Sony cruised through the Hospital Cup, beating Clock Face Res. 4-0 whilst never really getting out of 2nd gear.
Two goals from Docker and one a piece from Draper & Jay Stewart sealing the win.

25th Oct '08: A narrow defeat saw Sony lose but turn in a very good performance that alot of heart can be taken from against the former holders of the Liverpool Cup. Coming from 2 goals down, Sony stormed back making the game 2-2 then going onto be the better of the sides. Only failure to find a 3rd goal stopped the progression and Sony conceded very late on (then again in injury time when searching for an equaliser).

18th Oct '08: Sony chalk up their biggest ever victory in an superb display, scoring 17 goals in the process (but conceding a soft penalty!) with Draper weighing in with a treble treble! 9-0 up at halftime, the score could have been even more.

11th Oct '08: The manager made many changes for the 1st cup game of the season, utalising the whole squad available. A good 1st half performance was followed by a jaded 2nd half. However a late winner from Rowland after a penalty box scramble, and a fantastic late save from Devlin saw Sony run out 2-1 winners.

27th Sep '08: A poor performance finally caught up with Sony in losing thier first game of the season, 1-2 to Sidac. Although the deadlock wasnt broken until the 80th minute when Sony failed to clear the ball properly. Lack of a squad did not help as Sony was just left with one sub (the gaffa!) to bring on.

20th Sep '08: Sony notched up a record score in beating Prince of Wales 10-1, even though the performace was far from good. Four goals in less than 45mins for the returning Draper, a hattrick from Guy (2from the spot!), 2 from Walsh and Oke supplied the 10 goals. Devlin scoring an OG on his 100th appearance! Walsh scored his 100th & 101st goals for the club.

13th Sep '08: In the top of the table unbeaten clash, someones '0' had to go and it was Sony who kept their 100% record. Two goals each, in each half from Walsh and Areabi fired Sony to the top of the league in the dominant 4-1 victory.

28th Aug '08: A fantastic comeback maintained Sony's 100% winning start to the new season.
